Bedside Notice for First Responders and Care Providers

This one-page document is meant to be kept at your bedside, in the fridge, or with your emergency records. It speaks directly to EMS, hospice staff, nurses, law enforcement, or anyone present at the time of your death or cardiac arrest.

Key Features:

  • Informs responders that you are a cryonics member with legally binding documents and instructions.

  • Requests CPR be started immediately after your heart stops—not to revive you, but to help preserve your body.

  • Requests rapid legal death pronouncement and immediate external cooling after death.

  • Directs responders to avoid autopsy or embalming, which would interfere with cryopreservation.

  • Instructs personnel to allow Cryonics Institute staff or trained volunteers access to begin preservation steps.

  • Includes emergency contact info and a summary of the documents you’ve completed (POA-HC, Living Will, DNR, Anatomical Gift, etc.).

This document is designed for speed, clarity, and action—to help responders follow your cryonics plan without hesitation.

🧊 Recommended: Keep printed copies at home, with hospice, and in your “File of Life” or emergency vial.
