WHEN
September 10th beginning at 6:00 PM. Earlier if you want to (it would be nice if someone saved the fire pit for us), but the rest of the kids probably won’t get there until 6:00.
WHERE
At the fire pit closest to the street (inside the Pere Marquette breakwater section of the beach), just south of the Coast Guard Station.
WHO
If you are one of the Harbour Towne Yacht Club refugees that hangs out now at the Muskegon Yacht club, or you’re one of the Geriatric River Rats who likes to tube the Mighty Muskegon River, or you are a regular at Roger and Kathy’s Technology Group, or you’ve been to Steve and Marge’s Halloween party, then you’re invited. And if you haven’t been to any of them, you are probably still invited anyway.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your own meat to cook over the fire pit (hot dogs, hamburgers, small pieces of steak on a skewer, etc.). Bring whatever you want to drink. Bring a dish to share with others. We’ll bring paper plates and condiments (ketchup, mustard, and relish), so you don’t have to bring any of that. Folding chairs are highly recommended. Oh, and we’ll bring some firewood too.
WHAT TO WEAR
It can sometimes get windy and a little chilly, so consider you may want to bring something warm to wear.
IMPORTANT OBJECTIVES FOR THIS YEAR
This year, we are going to try to outdo our performance from last year. Objectives are:
- Have fun.
- Try not to burn down the Coast Guard Station this year with any rogue Sky Lanterns. Many of you remember we didn’t do to well on this objective last year, but we’ve been practicing, so we have high hopes for this time.
Call Steve or Marge with questions: 231-766-7901
p.s. No need to RSVP unless you feel like it or you use a LOT of ketchup.
Oh what fun! We sure hope we can come. Judy has a commitment in GR for the afternoon, but hopefully will be back in time to join great people and good time.
Paul has a crate of 2 by 4’5 to burn. Paul & Greta. We’ll be there
Excellent! I will just work on the kindling then.
