I wrote a lot of scenes for Bernie and the Putty. When I first started writing, I did the same thing many new writers do: I wrote a very large amount of ‘backstory’.
In my case, because I was creating a new universe with new concepts and new rules, I found it was essential to work out the logic of the universe. Later, when I did my editing, I found I didn’t need do include these sections. They do, however, make interesting reading.
I have included the Prologue of my book below. It will give you an idea of what the book is all about. The section(s) that follow are narrative and backstory that didn’t make it into the book. I hope you enjoy it!
